Animals to be taken to quarantine or observation centre

General

(1) The keeper or importer of any animal who has received a direction from an
authorized officer requiring him to take the animal to a quarantine centre or
observation centre shall at his own expense immediately after receiving such
direction take the animal to a quarantine centre or observation centre as the
case may be to be detained there for such period as the authorized officer may
prescribe.

(2) A person who contravenes subsection (1) commits an offence and is liable
to a fine of $10000. (Enacted 1994)
