Application of Schedule 2

RABIES CONTROL AREAS

(1) The Director may, by notice published in the Gazette, provide for the
application in a rabies control area of such of the provisions of Schedule 2
as are specified in the notice, and where appropriate, specify the animals and
other matters in respect of which any such provision shall apply.

(2) A person who contravenes any provision of Schedule 2 applicable in a
rabies control area pursuant to subsection (1) or the terms of any exemption
granted or requirement imposed under Schedule 2, commits an offence and is
liable to a fine of $10000. (Enacted 1994)
