MERCHANT SHIPPING (REGISTRATION) (FEES AND CHARGES) REGULATIONS - REGULATION 15

Liability and time of payment

(1) Subject to subregulation (2), every fee or charge shall be paid by the
owner or demise charterer of the ship concerned at the Marine Department in
advance of the service, purpose or period, as the case may be, in respect of
which the fee or charge is payable.

(2) The Director may in his discretion in any particular case or class of
cases permit any fee or charge to be paid, in whole or in part, in arrear, and
subject to such conditions as to security or time for payment as he may think
fit. (Enacted 1990)
