MERCHANT SHIPPING (SAFETY) (DANGEROUS GOODS AND MARINE POLLUTANTS) REGULATION - SECT 18
Jettisoning of packaged dangerous goods
(1) Packaged dangerous goods shall not be jettisoned, except where necessary
for the purposes of securing the safety of the ship or saving life at sea.
(2) A shipowner or master who fails to comply with the provisions of this
section commits an offence. (Enacted 1994)
