ELECTRICITY (WIRING) REGULATIONS - REGULATION 7
Current demand
(1) A circuit shall be suitable for the maximum current demand of all
current-using equipment that is connected or intended to be connected to the
circuit when the current-using equipment is functioning in its intended
manner.
(2) The maximum current demand of a fixed electrical installation shall not
exceed the approved loading. (Enacted 1990)
