ELECTRICITY (REGISTRATION) REGULATIONS - REGULATION 13
Renewal of registration
(1) A registered electrical contractor or a registered electrical worker who
wishes to renew his registration shall submit to the Director an application
for renewal of registration in a form required by him.
(2) The applicant shall submit with the application form-
(a) documents that the Director considers are relevant to the applicant's
registration or qualifications for renewal of registration; and
(b) the renewal fee specified in the Schedule.
(3) The application must be submitted to the Director at least 1 month before,
and no earlier than 4 months before, the expiry date of the current
registration.
(4) Where a registrant has had his right to apply for renewal of registration
suspended for a specified period of time he must submit his application for
renewal no later than 1 month after the end of the specified period.
(5) The Director need not consider an application for renewal that is
submitted before or after the times allowed under subregulation (3) or
(4) but an application submitted before the allowed time under subregulation
(3) may be resubmitted within the allowed time and a person who has not
submitted an application for renewal by the time allowed under subregulation
(3) or (4) may submit a fresh application under regulation 9. (Enacted 1990)
