ELECTRICITY SUPPLY (SPECIAL AREAS) REGULATIONS - REGULATION 11

Penalty for unauthorized consumer's connections and additions

Any person who, without having first obtained approval from the company,
connects or authorizes or permits the connection of any consumer's
installation to the company's mains, or makes or authorizes or permits the
making of any addition or extension to any consumer's installation which has
not been approved by the company shall be guilty of an offence and shall be
liable on summary conviction to imprisonment for 3 months and a fine of $2000
and, in the case of a continuing offence, to a further penalty of $100 for
each day during which the offence continues.
