ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS - REGULATION 57

Security of loads

The driver of a motor vehicle on a road shall ensure that-

   (a)  any load is properly secured to and, subject to regulations 55 and 56,
        contained on or inside the vehicle;

   (b)  no load (including an overhanging load) is, in whole or in part,
        carried on, or supported by, the tailgate of the vehicle; and (L.N. 72
        of 1990)

   (c)  the vehicle is so loaded that no portion of the load touches the road.
