ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS - REGULATION 40

Pedestrian priority zones

(1) The Commissioner may, by notice in the Gazette and by the erection of a
traffic sign of the type prescribed in Figure No. 111 in Schedule 1, designate
any road or part of a road as a pedestrian priority  zone for the period
indicated in the notice and by the sign.

(2) Subject to a direction given by a police officer in uniform or a traffic
warden in uniform, the driver of a vehicle shall give way to a pedestrian who
is within a pedestrian priority zone.
