ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS - REGULATION 10A

Yellow striped light signal crossing

(1) Subject to subregulation (2), no person shall drive a vehicle onto a
yellow striped light signal crossing unless he will be immediately able to
drive the vehicle wholly out of the crossing.

(2) Subregulation (1) shall not apply-

   (a)  to a vehicle which is being driven for any fire services, ambulance,
        police or customs and excise purpose if compliance with subregulation
        (1) is likely to hinder the use of the vehicle for that purpose; or

   (b)  where a vehicle is driven onto a yellow striped light signal  crossing
        on the direction of, or with the permission of, a police officer in
        uniform or a traffic warden in uniform. (L.N. 72 of 1990; 13 of 1995
