Exhaust pipe on goods vehicles and special purpose vehicles

On every goods vehicle and special purpose vehicle the exhaust pipe shall be
so fitted or shielded, and maintained that-

   (a)  no inflammable material can be thrown upon it from any other part of
        the vehicle;

   (b)  it is not likely to cause a fire through proximity to any inflammable
        material in the vehicle or being carried on the vehicle; and

   (c)  the exhaust outlet is not directed to the near side of the vehicle.
