MERCHANT SHIPPING (INSTRUCTIONS TO SURVEYORS) (PASSENGER SHIPS) REGULATIONS - REGULATION 37
Indictors
In all classes of sliding doors, indicators shall be fitted at all operating
stations other than the door itself, showing whether the door is opened or
closed. The arrangements at the door shall be such as to minimize the
possibility of tampering to cause the indicator to show a door closed, when
open.
