MERCHANT SHIPPING (INSTRUCTIONS TO SURVEYORS) (PASSENGER SHIPS) REGULATIONS - REGULATION 19
Watertight longitudinal bulkheads
All provisions relating to main transverse watertight bulkheads shall, so far
as is practicable, apply to watertight longitudinal bulkheads. They shall be
equal in strength, stiffness and efficiency to transverse bulkheads of the
same depth and shall be constructed in a similar manner.
