(Enacted 1994) DECLARATION OF DISTRICTS ORDER 1994 - SECT 4 (Repealed 114 of 1997 s. 21) VerDate:01/07/1997 DECLARATION OF DISTRICTS ORDER 1994 - SECT 4 Effect of Order VerDate:30/06/1997 (1) Subject to subsection 2, this Order shall have effect in respect of the ordinary election of persons to act as elected members of District Boards, established under the Ordinance in respect of the Districts declared in this Order, next following the making of this Order, and not earlier. (2) Despite subsection (1), as from the coming into operation of this Order, or any part thereof, arrangements (including those in respect of the registration of electors and the nomination of candidates) may be made or put in hand for the purpose of the holding of the ordinary election referred to in that subsection. L.N. 330 of 1994) DECLARATION OF DISTRICTS ORDER 1994 - SECT 5 (Repealed 114 of 1997 s. 22) VerDate:01/07/1997 DECLARATION OF DISTRICTS ORDER 1994 - SECT 5 Saving and transitional VerDate:30/06/1997 Nothing in this Order shall affect the membership or powers and privileges of any District Board, or the composition of any such Board, established under the Ordinance in respect of the ordinary election of persons to act as elected members of District Boards held before the date of the coming into operation of the Specification, or in respect of any by-election (within the meaning of the Electoral Provisions Ordinance (Cap. 367)) of a person to act as such member held before the date of the coming into operation of this Order in its entirety, as the case may be.
