Preliminary Investigation Committee

PART III

PROCEEDINGS PREPARATORY TO HEARING BY THE BOARD

(1) For the purposes of performing the functions conferred upon it by the
Ordinance and these regulations, there shall be a Preliminary Investigation
Committee consisting of-

   (a)  a chairman who shall be a member of the Board nominated by the Board
        and appointed by the Chairman of the Board;

   (b)  2 medical laboratory technologists registered in Part I of the
        register and ordinarily resident in Hong Kong, not being members of
        the Board, nominated by an association of
        medical laboratory technologists in Hong Kong and appointed by the
        Chairman of the Board.

(2) Save as provided in Schedule 5 the members of the Committee shall hold
office for 12 months but at the end of such period they may be re-nominated
and reappointed.

(3) Schedule 5 shall apply to the Preliminary Investigation Committee.
