COMPANIES (WINDING-UP) RULES - RULE 83

Claim established by affidavit

(1) The Official Receiver or the liquidator, as the case may be, may, if he
thinks it necessary, require a claim of debt to be verified by affidavit in
the prescribed form notwithstanding that a proof of debt has already been
lodged. (See Form 63B)

(2) The affidavit may, in a winding up by the court, be sworn before the
Official Receiver, an assistant official receiver or any person authorized to
administer oaths or take statutory declarations. (L.N. 225 of 1992)
