COMPANIES (WINDING-UP) RULES - RULE 22A

Deposit by petitioner

(1) Before presenting a petition the petitioner shall deposit with the
Official Receiver the sum of $12150 for the purpose of covering the fees and
expenses to be incurred by the Official Receiver; and no petition shall be
received unless the receipt of the Official Receiver for the deposit is
produced to the Registrar. (L.N. 245 of 1977; L.N. 139 of 1985; L.N. 95 of

(2) After presenting a petition the petitioner shall deposit with the
Official Receiver, for the purpose set out in paragraph (1), such further sum
as the court may, on the application of the Official Receiver, from time to
time direct.

(3) The Official Receiver shall account for the money so deposited to the
petitioner, or, if the company itself is the petitioner, to the liquidator of
the company, and any money so deposited by a petitioner other than the company
shall, except and so far as such money may be required by reason of
insufficiency of assets for the payment of the fees of and expenses incurred
by the Official Receiver, be repaid to the petitioner out of the proceeds of
the assets of the company in the order of priority set out in rule 179(1).
