Procedure for enlistment

PART III

ENLISTMENT AND DISCHARGE OF AUXILIARY SECTION MEMBERS

(1) An applicant for enlistment in the auxiliary section shall-

   (a)  apply to the Controller in writing in the form approved by the
        Controller including personal details and a declaration agreeing to be
        bound by the orders, rules and regulations from time to time applying
        to members of the auxiliary section;

   (b)  furnish personal references as the Controller requires; and

   (c)  be medically examined by a Government medical officer or by a medical
        practitioner approved by the Controller.

(2) If the Controller considers an applicant suitable for appointment to a
vacancy, an applicant shall declare that he will loyally serve the people of
Hong Kong in the Service and, on making the declaration, the Controller shall
appoint him to the auxiliary section. (Enacted 1993)
