CENSUS AND STATISTICS (QUARTERLY SURVEY OF RESTAURANT RECEIPTS AND PURCHASES) ORDER - PARAGRAPH 2

Interpretation

In this order, unless the context otherwise requires-

"restaurant" (食肆) includes any place where prepared food or drink is sold
for immediate consumption, and any catering service;

"restaurant purchases by type" (按類別劃分的食肆的購貨額) includes
purchases of foodstuffs, condiments used in preparing meals, alcoholic and
non-alcoholic drinks, and all other items for sale to customers;

"restaurant receipts by type" (按類別劃分的食肆的收入) includes
sales of foodstuffs and beverages, irrespective of whether the sales are in
cash or on credit, and all other receipts from customers;

"survey" (調查) means the statistical survey referred to in paragraph 3;

"survey period" (調查期) means the survey period specified under paragraph
6.
