CENSUS AND STATISTICS (ANNUAL SURVEY OF BUILDING, CONSTRUCTION AND REAL ESTATE SECTORS) ORDER - PARAGRAPH 2

Interpretation

In this order, unless the context otherwise requires- "building, construction
and real estate sectors" (屋宇建築、建造及地產業) means any of the
following-

   (a)  the erection, maintenance or repair of buildings or other immobile
        structures;

   (b)  the physical development of land for purposes other than agriculture;

   (c)  site investigation, site formation, piling, caissons or other
        sub-structure work; (L.N. 77 of 1995)

   (d)  the installation of service facilities in buildings or other immobile
        structures, whether under construction or already in use;

   (e)  the demolition of existing buildings or other immobile structures;

   (f)  the development of or transaction in real estate (including leasing);

   (g)  architectural, surveying or project engineering services related to
        building, construction or real estate activities; (L.N. 77 of 1995)

   (h)  real estate brokerage or agency;

   (i)  real estate management services;

   (j)  any specific process constituting part of the activities specified in
        sub-paragraphs (a) to (e) inclusive; "building, construction and real
        estate undertaking" (屋宇建築、建造及地產經營) means any
        undertaking engaged in building, construction and real estate sectors;

"real estate" (地產) means immovable property;

"survey" (調查) means the statistical survey referred to in paragraph 3;

"survey period" (調查期) means the survey period specified in or under
paragraph 6. "building, construction and real estate sectors"
(屋宇建築、建造及地產業) "building, construction and real estate
undertaking" (屋宇建築、建造及地產經營)
