SHIPPING AND PORT CONTROL (WORKS) REGULATION - SECT 21
Safety helmets, etc.
(1) A person employed shall be provided with an appropriate safety helmet and,
so far as reasonably practicable, other protective clothing and equipment that
are appropriate to prevent bodily injury to that person.
(2) Reasonable measures shall be taken to ensure that a person employed does
not remain on the vessel when works are being carried out unless he is—
(a) wearing an appropriate safety helmet; and
(b) if any other protective clothing and equipment are provided under
subsection (1), using those other clothing and equipment.
(3) If there is a contravention of subsection (1) or (2), the person in charge
of works and the employer commit an offence and each is liable on conviction
to a fine at level 3.
(4) In this section, “protective clothing and equipment”
(防護衣物及裝備) includes safety goggles, ear protectors (which include
ear-muffs and ear plugs), safety shoes, safety harness, respirators, buoyancy
aids and other body protection. “protective clothing and equipment”
