SHIPPING AND PORT CONTROL (WORKS) REGULATION - SECT 20

Duties of works supervisors

(1) A works supervisor shall—

   (a)  supervise works carried out on, to or by means of a vessel in
        accordance with the safety instructions given by a person in charge of
        works;

   (b)  assist a person in charge of works in performing any duties imposed on
        that person under this Regulation;

   (c)  carry with him while at work a certificate referred to in
        section 19(2)(b)(iii); and

   (d)  produce the certificate to an inspector for inspection on demand.

(2) A person who, without reasonable excuse, fails to comply with subsection
(1)(a) or (b) commits an offence and is liable on conviction to a fine at
level 3.

(3) A person who, without reasonable excuse, fails to comply with subsection
(1)(c) or (d) commits an offence and is liable on conviction to a fine at
level 2.
