Language of reports and vocabulary of communications

(1) Except where the vessel traffic centre permits the use of any other
language, all reports shall be made in the English or the Chinese language.

(2) Any report in accordance with paragraph (1) shall, so far as practicable,
make use of the terms, phrases and expressions contained in the
standard marine navigation vocabulary. (L.N. 408 of 1994)
