SHIPPING AND PORT CONTROL REGULATIONS - REGULATION 12
Directions from vessel traffic centre
(1) Where in the opinion of an authorized officer at the vessel
traffic centre there exists in the waters of Hong Kong any of the conditions
specified in paragraph (2), he may give directions to the master of any vessel
specifying the time when and the place where the vessel shall (L.N. 408 of
1994)
(a) enter;
(b) move within or through; or
(c) depart from, the waters of Hong Kong,
(2) For the purposes of paragraph (1), the conditions are-
(a) vessel traffic congestion;
(b) adverse weather;
(c) reduced visibility; or
(d) other hazardous conditions. (L.N. 408 of 1994)
