AIR POLLUTION CONTROL (EMISSION REDUCTION DEVICES FOR VEHICLES) REGULATION - SCHEDULE 1

CLASSES OF MOTOR VEHICLE TO WHICH THIS REGULATION APPLIES

Class

1. A private car or goods vehicle which- (L.N. 209 of 2005)

   (a)  is equipped with a compression-ignition engine;

   (b)  is licensed under the Road Traffic (Registration and Licensing 
        of Vehicles) Regulations ( Cap 374 sub. leg. E);

   (c)  has a permitted gross vehicle weight of not more than 4 tonnes; and

   (d)  was first registered on or before 31 March 1995. 2. A taxi which-

   (a)  is equipped with a compression-ignition engine;

   (b)  is licensed under the Road Traffic (Registration and Licensing 
        of Vehicles) Regulations ( Cap 374 sub. leg. E); and

   (c)  was first registered on or before 31 December 1995. 3. A light bus or
        bus which-

   (a)  is equipped with a compression-ignition engine;

   (b)  is licensed under the Road Traffic (Registration and Licensing 
        of Vehicles) Regulations ( Cap 374 sub. leg. E); and

   (c)  was first registered on or before 31 March 1995. (L.N. 209 of 2005) 4.
        A goods vehicle which-

   (a)  is equipped with a compression-ignition engine;

   (b)  is licensed under the Road Traffic (Registration and Licensing 
        of Vehicles) Regulations ( Cap 374 sub. leg. E);

   (c)  has a permitted gross vehicle weight of more than 4 tonnes;

   (d)  was first registered on or before 31 March 1995; (L.N. 270 of 2006)

   (e)  does not belong to any of the following types of body-

        (i)    aerial platform;

        (ii)   mobile crane;

        (iii)  mobile concrete pump; and (L.N. 270 of 2006)

   (f)  where the vehicle belongs to any of the following types of body-

        (i)    concrete mixer;

        (ii)   gully emptier;

        (iii)  lorry crane;

        (iv)   pressure tanker,
does not meet any of the following conditions—

        (v)    a specified road permit issued in respect of the vehicle is in
               force;

        (vi)   a specified road permit issued in respect of the vehicle
