DANGEROUS GOODS (GENERAL) REGULATIONS - REGULATION 78A

Conditions for grant of licence to store or use ethylene oxide

No licence to store or use ethylene oxide as a sterilant shall be granted or
renewed by the Authority unless he is satisfied in relation to the
installation that-

   (a)  the plan referred to in regulation 77A has been approved by him and
        the construction of the installation conforms with the plan;

   (b)  on or near to every installation there is prominently displayed a
        notice, in English and Chinese, naming the gas and prohibiting
        smoking; and

   (c)  the installation is provided with such fire extinguishing devices as
        the Authority may require having regard to the nature of the gas.
