Fire drills, exists

(Past version on 30/06/1997).

(1) The principal of every school shall draw up a practical scheme for the
evacuation of the school premises in case of fire, shall ensure that fire
drill including the use of all exits from the school premises is carried out
by the teachers and pupils at least once in every 6 months, and shall keep a
written record of all such drills in a school log book. The written record
shall record the time taken to evacuate the school premises during each fire
drill. (8 of 2001 s. 17)

(2) The principal of every school shall ensure that exits from all classrooms
and the school premises are free from obstruction at all times.
