Appointment of staff

(1) Every operator shall appoint for the purposes of the centre in respect of
which he is registered-

   (a)  a supervisor, who shall be responsible for the management of the
        centre; and

   (b)  a sufficient number of child care workers to ensure compliance with
        regulation 6. (L.N. 90 of 1980; 15 of 2005 s. 12)

(1A) A supervisor appointed under paragraph (1)(a) for the purposes of a
centre shall, unless the centre is one-

   (a)  which is not operated for more than 4 hours per day; and

   (b)  to which not more than 28 children are admitted, be a person whose
        name is contained in the register referred to in regulation 3(1)(a).
