PRISON RULES - RULE 17

Leave of absence

(1) The Commissioner may grant leave of absence-

   (a)  not exceeding 5 days at any one time to any prisoner who-

        (i)    has been sentenced to not less than 4 years' imprisonment;

        (ii)   is within 6 months of the earliest date of release; and

        (iii)  has no deportation order made against him; and

   (b)  not exceeding 24 hours at any one time, to any other prisoner.

(2) Leave of absence granted under paragraph (1) shall be subject to such
conditions and restrictions relating to custody and escort as the Commissioner
