LEGAL AID IN CRIMINAL CASES RULES - RULE 14A

Power to discharge certificates

(Past version on 30/06/1997).

(1) The Director may, if he is satisfied that it is desirable in the interests
of justice, discharge a legal aid certificate or an appeal  aid certificate.

(2) Except in proceedings relating to appeals to, or applications for leave to
appeal to, the Court of Final Appeal, the powers of the Director under
paragraph (1) may be exercised by a judge or District Judge or, in the case of
an appeal to the Court of Appeal, by the court or a judge thereof. (L.N. 122
