INDEPENDENT COMMISSION AGAINST CORRUPTION (TREATMENT OF DETAINED PERSONS) ORDER - PARAGRAPH 7

Search of detainee

(1) Upon the detention of a detainee, he shall, before being placed in any
detention room, be searched thoroughly.

(2) The searching of a detainee shall be conducted with due regard to decency
and self-respect, and in as seemly a manner as is consistent with the
necessity of discovering any concealed articles.

(3) No detainee shall be searched other than by an officer of the same sex.

(4) A detainee removed from his detention room shall be searched before being
returned to that, or being placed in another, detention room.
