POULTRY (SLAUGHTERING FOR EXPORT) REGULATIONS - REGULATION 8
Surrender of licences
(1) A licensee may surrender any licence granted to him by-
(a) giving notice to the Director in writing of the proposed surrender;
and
(b) delivering to the Director the licence which is to be surrendered.
(2) A notice referred to in sub-paragraph (a) of paragraph (1) may specify the
date when the surrender of the licence is to take effect.
(3) Subject to paragraph (4), the surrender of a licence shall take effect
either-
(a) upon the date specified in the notice, being a date not earlier than
the date of receipt of the notice by the Director; or
(b) if no such date is so specified, then upon receipt of the notice by
the Director.
(4) Notwithstanding paragraph (3), the surrender of a licence shall not take
effect until after the licensee has delivered the licence to the Director.
