Powers to control traffic in abattoir

(Past version on 30/06/1997).

(1) The manager of an abattoir may cause to be erected in the abattoir such
signs and notices as are in his opinion necessary for the proper control of
traffic in the abattoir.

(2) An authorized officer may give to any person appearing to him to be in
charge of a vehicle in an abattoir such directions as are in his opinion
necessary for the proper control of the movement or parking of the vehicle in
the abattoir.

(3) Any person who, being the driver or person having the charge of a vehicle
in an abattoir, fails to comply with-

   (a)  a sign or notice erected under subsection (1); or

   (b)  a direction given to him under subsection (2), shall be guilty of an
        offence. (78 of 1999 s. 7)
