BUILDING (STANDARDS OF SANITARY FITMENTS, PLUMBING, DRAINAGE WORKS AND LATRINES) REGULATIONS - REGULATION 81

Doors to open into open air, etc.

(1) Save as provided in paragraph (2), the door of every latrine shall open
directly into the open air.

(2) Where the latrine fitment in any latrine is a chemical closet  fitment,
the door of the latrine need not open into the open air, but shall not open
into any room used or intended to be used for the manufacture, preparation or
storage of food for human consumption.
