BUILDING (PLANNING) REGULATIONS - REGULATION 35

Additional vent may be required

(1) Where in the opinion of the Building Authority compliance with the
provisions of these regulations will not secure adequate ventilation for any
room used for such purposes by reason of its intended use, unsuitable
surroundings or other cause he may require that room to be provided with
additional ventilation by means of-

   (a)  an aperture or airshaft communicating direct with the open air, having
        an unobstructed sectional area of not less than 0.015 m2; or (L.N. 294
        of 1976)

   (b)  a fanlight which opens to a ventilated lobby or corridor; or

   (c)  such other means of ventilation as shall be approved by him.

(2) For the purpose of regulations 29 to 35, a laundry being part of or used
in connexion with any building shall be deemed to be used for the purpose of
habitation.
