BUILDING (CONSTRUCTION) REGULATIONS - REGULATION 84
Bond courses required
(1) Retaining walls constructed of masonry exceeding 4 m in height shall be
provided with one or more bond courses of-
(a) concrete at least 300 mm in depth; or
(b) reinforced concrete.
(2) The distance between the foundation and the first of such bond courses and
the distance between any 2 adjacent bond courses shall not exceed 2 m measured
vertically. (Enacted 1990)
