BUILDING (CONSTRUCTION) REGULATIONS - REGULATION 80
Safety required during excavation and construction
The design of retaining walls at all stages of construction and excavation
shall provide adequate factors of safety against piping and bottom heave and
have an adequate margin of safety for the stability of the toe of the
retaining wall. (Enacted 1990)
