BUILDING (CONSTRUCTION) REGULATIONS - REGULATION 74
Adequate factor of safety
Retaining walls shall be designed to provide adequate factors of safety
against sliding, overturning and ultimate bearing failure and against failure
on a surface passing beneath the retaining wall. (Enacted 1990)
