PROCLAMATION NO. 2 OF 1977 - PARAGRAPH 1

BY HIS EXCELLENCY SIR DENYS EMIL TUDOR ROBERTS, Knight Commander of the Most
Excellent Order of the British Empire, Queen's Counsel, Justice of the Peace,
Acting Governor and Commander-in-Chief of the Colony of Hong Kong and its
Dependencies.

In exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 5(1)(e) of the Inland 
Revenue Ordinance, Chapter 112, I hereby PROCLAIM that, in respect of the year
of assessment commencing on the 1st April 1978, and subsequent years of
assessment, property tax shall be charged in respect of land or buildings or
land and buildings in Areas F5, F6, F7, G5, H5, J3, K2, L4, L5, M5, N2 and N3
of the New Territories, as defined in the Schedule to the Rating (Areas of
Hong Kong) Order*.

GIVEN under my hand and the Public Seal of the Colony of Hong Kong this 10th
day of December 1977.
