*Resolution made and passed by the Legislative Council under section 4 of the
Dutiable Commodities Ordinance on 7 June 1978.

RESOLVED under section 4 of the Dutiable Commodities Ordinance that the Royal
Nepalese Liaison Officer shall be exempted from the payment of the duties
prescribed under the Dutiable Commodities Ordinance in connection with
alcoholic liquors and tobacco as if he were a consular officer within the
meaning of the Consular Relations Ordinance ( Cap 259) subject to the
following conditions-

   (a)  this exemption shall be personal to the incumbent of the post of the
        Royal Nepalese Liaison Officer in Hong Kong;

   (b)  this exemption shall cease immediately in the event of any material
        change in the duties presently performed by the Royal Nepalese Liaison
        Officer in Hong Kong. (L.N. 113 of 1978)
