TELECOMMUNICATIONS (CARRIER LICENCES) REGULATION - SCHEDULE 2

PERIOD OF VALIDITY OF CARRIER LICENCES

[section 4]

1. Fixed carrier licence

Subject to section 2, the period of validity of a fixed carrier licence is-

   (a)  15 years from the day on which it is issued; and

   (b)  a further period of not more than 15 years, as specified by the
        Authority, in the case of a renewal, if any, of the licence.

2. Fixed carrier (restricted) licence

The period of validity of a fixed carrier (restricted) licence is-

   (a)  not more than 12 years, as specified by the Authority, from the day on
        which it is issued; and

   (b)  a further period of not more than 12 years, as specified by the
        Authority, in the case of a renewal (including any series of
        renewals), if any, of the licence.

3. Mobile carrier licence

The period of validity of a mobile carrier licence shall be 15 years from the
day on which it is issued.

4. Space station carrier licence

The period of validity of a space station carrier licence shall be 20 years
from the day on which it is issued.
