TELECOMMUNICATIONS (POSSESSION AND EXPORT OF RADIOCOMMUNICATIONS APPARATUS BY VISITORS) (EXEMPTION) ORDER - SECT 2
Exemption for the purpose of section 9 of the Ordinance
(Past version on 30/06/1997).
A person who is given permission to land in Hong Kong as a visitor under the
Immigration Ordinance ( Cap 115) is exempted from the requirement to hold a
permit or a licence under section 9 of the Ordinance in respect of export of
any radiocommunications apparatus purchased by him in Hong Kong, subject to
the following conditions- (36 of 2000 s. 28)
(a) he shall produce for inspection a receipt, certificate or other
document as proof of the date of purchase of the apparatus on demand
by the Authority or any public officer authorized in that behalf by
the Authority;
(b) he shall export the apparatus within 30 days after the date of
purchase; and
(c) he has not within 30 days after the date of purchase used or permitted
the used of the apparatus in Hong Kong or on board a ship or aircraft
that is registered in Hong Kong. (Enacted 1992)
