PROTECTION OF ENDANGERED SPECIES OF ANIMALS AND PLANTS ORDINANCE - SECT 12

Restriction on introduction from the sea of specimens of Appendix II species

(1) Subject to section 47, a person shall not introduce from the  sea a
specimen of an Appendix II species except under and in accordance with a
licence issued in respect of that specimen under section 23(1)(b) prior to the
introduction from the sea.

(2) A person who introduces from the sea a specimen of an Appendix  II species
under and in accordance with the licence referred to in subsection (1) shall,
upon the landing of that specimen in Hong Kong, produce, or cause to be
produced, that licence to an authorized officer.

(3) A person who contravenes subsection (1) or (2) commits an offence and is
liable on conviction to a fine at level 5 and to imprisonment for 6 months.
