CONSTRUCTION WORKERS REGISTRATION ORDINANCE - SECT 42

Special provision on registration for certain trades

(1) The Registrar shall not register a person as a registered  skilled worker
(provisional) for a designated trade set out in Part 1 of Schedule 1 if a
qualification is set out in column 4 of that Part opposite the trade.

(2) The Registrar shall not register a person as a registered  skilled worker
(provisional), or a registered semi-skilled worker

   (provisional) , for a designated trade set out in Part 2 of Schedule 1 if a
        qualification is set out in column 4 of that Part opposite the trade.

(3) The Registrar shall not register a person as a registered 
semi-skilled worker (provisional) for a designated trade set out in Part 3 of
Schedule 1 if a qualification is set out in column 4 of that Part opposite the
trade.

(4) The Registrar shall not register a person as a registered  skilled worker
for the designated trade of diver unless the Registrar is satisfied that the
person is certified by a registered medical practitioner that the person is
medically fit to dive.

(5) The Registrar shall not register a person as a registered  skilled worker,
a registered skilled worker (provisional), a registered  semi-skilled worker,
or a registered semi-skilled worker (provisional), for the designated trade of
Building Security System Mechanic unless the Registrar is satisfied that the
person holds a permit in relation to the
activities within paragraph (c) or (d) of the definition of "security work" in
section 2 of the Security and Guarding Services Ordinance ( Cap  460).
