Term of office of an approved Village Representative

PART 9

MISCELLANEOUS

(1) Notwithstanding any other enactment or rule of law, the term of office of
an approved Village Representative that commenced on 1 April 1999 is extended
to 4 years and 6 months.

(2) In this section, "approved Village Representative" (經批准的村代表)
means a Village Representative within the meaning of section 3(3)(a) of the
Heung Yee Kuk Ordinance ( Cap 1097) as in force immediately before the
commencement of section 19(a) of Schedule 4.
