CHINESE MEDICINE ORDINANCE - SECT 8

Temporary members

(1) If a member of the Council appointed under section 4(b) is, because of
illness or any other reasons, unable to perform his duties and exercise his
powers as a member of the Council for any period, the Chief Executive may
appoint another person who is suitably qualified for appointment under
section 4(b), not being one whose office has been declared vacant under
section 7 or who is disqualified from holding office under section 9, to be a
temporary member of the Council in place of the member during that period.

(2) While any person is acting as a temporary member of the Council, he shall
be capable of performing all the duties and of executing all the powers of the
member whom he is temporarily replacing.
