CHINESE MEDICINE ORDINANCE - SECT 71

Cases involving previous conviction and professional misconduct

(1) If a person who applies under section 68(1) has declared that he has been
convicted in Hong Kong or elsewhere of an offence punishable with imprisonment
or that he has been found guilty in Hong Kong or elsewhere of misconduct in a
professional respect, the Practitioners Board shall refer his case to the
Disciplinary Committee of Chinese Medicine  Practitioners.

(2) Where, pursuant to the consideration and recommendation by the
Disciplinary Committee of Chinese Medicine Practitioners, the
Practitioners Board considers that the person is suitable for registration
under section 69, the Practitioners Board may approve the application.
