CHINESE MEDICINE ORDINANCE - SECT 35
Vacation of office
(Past version on 06/08/1999).
Where-
(a) a member of a committee under this Part-
(i) is sentenced to imprisonment, whether suspended or not, for any
offence by any court or magistrate in Hong Kong or elsewhere;
(ii) is the subject of an order made under section 98; or
(iii) becomes bankrupt or enters into a voluntary arrangement with
his creditors within the meaning of the Bankruptcy Ordinance (
Cap 6); or
(b) the Council-
(i) is satisfied that a member of a committee under this Part is no
longer ordinarily resident in Hong Kong; or
(ii) is of the opinion that a member of a committee under this Part
is unable or unfit to perform his duties and exercise his
powers as a member of the committee, the Council may declare
his office as a member of the committee to be vacant, and shall
notify the fact in such manner as the Council thinks fit; and
upon such declaration the office shall become vacant.
