DISTRICT COUNCILS ORDINANCE - SECT 66

Duties of Chairman and Vice Chairman

(1) The Chairman is to preside at meetings of the District Council.

(2) The Vice Chairman is to perform the duties of the Chairman

(including presiding at meetings) if the Chairman is unable to act, is absent
or if the office of the Chairman becomes vacant.

(3) If both the Chairman and Vice Chairman are absent from a meeting, the
members present are to elect a member from amongst themselves to preside at
the meeting.
