LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL ORDINANCE - SECT 30
Applicant for registration as elector to be in possession of identity document
(1) A natural person is not eligible to be registered as an elector unless, at
the time of applying to be registered, the person satisfies the
Electoral Registration Officer that the person-
(a) holds an identity document; or
(b) has-
(i) applied for a new identity document; or
(ii) requested the alteration of the identity document or the issue
of a new identity document, in replacement of the
identity document previously issued to the person, and informs
that Officer of the document's identifying number (if any).
(2) This section has effect even though a person would otherwise be eligible
to be registered as an elector.
